Kocaeli Fair and Wetland Urban Design

Kocaeli Fair and wetland has fragmented and lost its public realm qualities under the pressure of rapid urbanization of the city. After the severe earthquake, these areas were used to construct new structures to continue the public services. The project demolishes the old structures and the excessive road network and offers a new public park that is radically different from the stylized and sterilized urban parks, activating the potentials of wildlife in the wetland.
