Karaöz is a village in the north-east of Antalya center. Its economy is based on agriculture. The region is a large agricultural area surrounded by steep mountains and with only a few houses scattered around. The project area is located at the edge of the agricultural area and the mountains. In this respect, it both has a view over the plain and the impressive mountain morphology.
The building is designed in a large plot, purchased by three friends who live in Istanbul, want to make agriculture with the right techniques and live in this impressive geography. The main motivation of the project is to merge the building in the impressive morphology of the mountain ranges surrounding the plain. In this respect, the roof of the structure is designed in reference to the geometry of the mountains which dominate the entire morphology of the area.
Looking at the structure from different spots, the roof provides the geographic integration of the building to its context.
Sleeping and living spaces were separated from each other and the living space is located to the north in a way to have the plain view, and the sleeping places to the south. The problem that living spaces could not benefit from the southern light was overcome by shifting two masses.
